What You’ll do
Using engineering first principles, design a BMS Electrical system HW which focuses on design & development of HV distribution and electrical systems at Module level and Pack level for our EV’s Energy Storage Systems (ESS).
Simulate battery electrical / electronic circuit simulation for design compliance using MATLAB / Simulink or other tools
Leading of embedded software development project team for battery management systems (xEV) in an automotive process environment (AUTOSAR, ASPICE, ISO 26262, ISO 21434)
Design of common HV circuits to implement functions such as battery cell/module/pack voltage/current sense, HV switching, and galvanic isolation Collaborate with cross- functional teams to develop specifications
Virtual verification of battery packs at the module level and at the system level
What You’ll bring
Knowledge of Electric system (E-Drive, DC-DC, OBC, PDU, Battery, etc.)
Hands on experience in leading the Design of Lithium Ion Batteries, good understanding of battery pack system architecture will be an extra advantage.
Understanding of Battery Modelling and simulation.
Power electronic circuit design for megawatt level power control; designing analog & mixed signal high voltage, high accuracy and medium speed PCB design
Proficient in designing HW to meet Environmental, EMI/EMC, thermal, shock & vibration

Define Battery thermal, HVAC system, and powertrain cooling system architecture.
Work on high integration of Aero-thermal system, optimized air flow vis-à-vis requirements of EV thermal management
Support and interface with the team of Battery, powertrain, power electronics, vehicle integration, and body structure, to assure thermal component packaging, installation, and optimize the functional environment.
Work closely with suppliers on design evaluation and validation of the thermal components to meet product specifications and requirements
At later stage, Coordinate and conduct hardware testing in the lab to verify and validate thermal management system hardware functionality and reliability
What You’ll bring
Strong in Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, and Heat & Mass Transfer fundamentals
Model based development & experience with coolant medium, airflow, sensors, valves, fluid transport component design, and high voltage components.
Familiarity with analysis tools, such as MATLAB / Simulink and CFD codes (ANSYS FLUENT/Open FOAM).

Using first principle thinking to design an EV structure (chassis parts, drive units, integration of major components) by optimizing its weight, manufacturability & cost
Developing highly predictive finite element models in collaboration with a small team of design engineers.
Performing modal, linear/non-linear, durability/fatigue, random vibration and shock analysis to evaluate structures and recommend design solutions that balance the needs of engineering, suppliers, and program management.
Simulating heat transfer to evaluate heatsink designs.
Calculating electrical properties such as parasitic inductances and capacitances from CAD models. Multi physics modelling of interactions of structural and thermal phenomenon on chassis / drive units
What You’ll bring
Thorough knowledge of Solid Mechanics, Strength of Materials and Heat Transfer.
Expert level component/system design analysis including modal, linear/non-linear static, durability/fatigue, random vibration, and shock analysis.
Knowledge of heat transfer and thermal mechanical behavior in electronic components.
Experience with FEA (Abaqus or Ansys)
Experience with Matlab or Python.
